There are hugs, tears and surprising confessions on the last day of The block 2021 as the front yards and facades are revealed and the teams bid farewell.

Judges Shaynna blaze, Neale whitaker and Darren palmer are blown away by the front gardens. Mitch and Mark‘s in particular is so astonishing that it prompts a judge to admit he was wrong about this team’s vision for his salon.

But the criticism of the judges Josh and LucThe backyard resulted in an angry rebuttal and heated final spray to Shaynna, Neale and Darren.

First, we start with the last day of power tools, as the skeleton crews finish planting, cleaning, and painting.

There is a lot to do, but Ronnie cannot leave the cul-de-sac without getting a refund The farce of Paulie, Keith and Dan.

“He took my ATV, he welded something to my brake, so destroy my bike, it can’t be used,” Ronnie said before brandishing the object he’ll destroy in revenge.

“[Dan’s] beloved sovereign that he has had for 16 years, his first boss gave it to him. Well Dan, let me tell you something buddy – you don’t mess with the Cacereses, ”Ronnie said.

When Keith and Dan Saying goodbye to the teams, Ronnie hands the chopped and melted ruler to Dan in a gift box. The tape measure is so damaged that Dan even has trouble recognizing it.

Hours go by and before you know it the host Scott Cam is calling ‘tools down’ for the last time in 2021, and teams are racing down the road to celebrate.

“It’s a relief that it’s done, but it’s with real sadness that it’s over,” said Mitch.

Now let’s head to Block’s headquarters to hear Scotty read the judges’ comments on the courtyards and team facades.

Ronnie and Georgia

First impressions are good with Shaynna, Neale and Darren admiring Ronnie and Georgia’s ability to execute a cohesive look from the front garden to the backyard.

“Very architectural, very contemporary, it’s very impressive,” says Neale.

However, the judges are surprised that the main entrance is so exposed without shelter above the front door, which is clear glass, allowing anyone to see inside the house.

Shaynna admits the garden doesn’t seem inviting in a way that makes her want to explore or use the space, but she loved the addition of a beehive.

“It’s a nice touch, isn’t it. This is the first time that we see a beehive on The block, and that’s a great recognition of the things that matter to us as a company now, ”Neale agreed.

Mitch and Mark

The couple’s vision of a family wonderland thrills the judges as soon as they see the white picket fence.

Once inside the door, Shaynna ran off to look at the cubby house, a feature she had longed to see from Backyard Week. She also enjoys the trampoline and the big tree, which prompts her to act out how children would use the space.

“Then you play chasey around the tree, ‘Are you going to have me, are you going to have me?’ She said, putting her head around the tree.

“Thanks Mitch and Mark, you made me so happy.”

So happy in fact that Shaynna admits that the front garden made it clear to her what Mitch and Mark were trying to achieve with their living room.

“You know how we really tried Mitch and Mark about walking through that front door and feeling weird because there was this table in the center, and you just feel like you’re walking right into the bowels of the house, ”she reminds Darren and Neale.

“The way this front door is with the arbor, allows you to be a guest in the house. So already by the time you get to this front door, you are already immersed in the house. You don’t need a hallway, ”she realizes.

“I take my hat off to them. I’m always happy to eat a humble pie when I see them doing the right thing, and I want them to know that they saved this front.

Back at Block’s headquarters, Mitch and Mark are delighted with the comments and to hear the judges now understand their vision for House 2.

Tanya and Vito

Darren, Shaynna and Neale’s comments begin with the appreciation of the original mailbox. They also love the random brick fence, which goes well with the Mid-Century style of the interior.

Neale appreciates the subtlety of period details in the design of the garden.

“I’m so glad they weren’t tempted to do this kind of Palm Springs garden with the succulents and cacti, it probably would have seemed a bit obvious. I love that they went for a softer, softer, more Australian garden, ”he says.

But Shaynna lacks tall palms and grasses, and wishes there was a tree next to the veranda that makes you want to sit there all day.

Darren compliments the overall design, which he can safely say was done on a tight budget.

“I think what they’ve achieved really helps sell the dream of this house,” he says.

Josh and Luc

The judges are won over by the “simplicity, structure, elegance” of the facade and are big fans of the floating steps.

“It actually completely changes the look of the front of the house, it’s become a different building now,” says Neale.

With a mature olive tree and clever lighting design, the entry is a big comeback from last week for Josh and Luke, according to the judges.

But Darren wonders about choosing a white brick fence, which looks rustic compared to the clean lines and gray tones of the house.

Back at Block’s headquarters, Luke fires back when he hears this comment.

“It’s very modern, very stylish, so to say it’s a rustic look, they clearly don’t know what they’re talking about. It’s not at all rustic, ”he says.

Returning to the judges, they also find the grassed area disconnected from the entertainment areas of the house.

“And there’s a reason for that because wasn’t that where the aisle was meant to be?” Wasn’t that where the garage was supposed to be? Shaynna remembers.

Hearing this, Josh and Luke got even more “on fire”.

“I think that makes sense. They have no idea what they’re talking about, ”Luke replies.

Despite a few negatives, Darren believes there will be a buyer for the twins’ house.

“I think what they’ve done is so close to being awesome, any buyer is just going to see awesome.”

Kirsty and Jesse

Go in Kirsty and JesseNeale, in the front yard, was so elated that he repeated a phrase he said several times in the 5th house: “Honey, I am at home”.

The striking gazebo with the star jasmine and the giant tree, which no one seemed to notice until now, prompts both Darren and Shaynna to say that the yard is “heaven.”

Shaynna loves seats and gives style top marks, with bikes, tennis totems and cricket all presented as if kids have just finished using them.

“It’s amazing! It’s life! It’s real life. It’s family life. For me, it’s selling that family dream just as much as Mitch and Mark on the other side of the the road. To me, that just has a sense of suburban grandeur, ”says Neale.

The judges have mostly positive things to say about the facade, except that the door has a glass window which has an impact on privacy.

Neale thinks Kirsty and Jesse have created “the best house The block never delivered ”.

Shaynna and Darren both consider this a “big call,” but Neale insists. “In all my years of judgment The block Honestly, I can’t think of a better property than this, ”he reiterates.

It’s time for the judges’ notes.

  • Ronnie and Georgia: 27
  • Mitch and Mark: 29.5
  • Tanya and Vito: 24
  • Josh and Luke: 24.5
  • Kirsty and Jesse: 28.5

Now we turn to the auctions, and Ronnie and Georgia have a few thoughts as they’ve been given the power to choose the order of the auctions.

Upon exiting, Josh and Luke explode their score and comments.

“We beat Tanya and Vito by half a point, how does that make sense? In a yard, you look at the two and tell me that ours is worth half a point better. These judges, we hope we can shove it in their face on auction day, and if we win, it will be even more the case for us to take them off this show, ”said Luke.

That’s not all about Josh and Luke, with a teaser for the auction episode revealing the twins will admit the truth about what really happened in the cheating scandal. Will we finally know who took the photo of the production schedule?
