The most popular baby names in eastern Iowa in 2021 [LIST]
It’s always interesting to see how popular baby names change from year to year. When I was a kid it seemed like everyone my age was called Ashley, Brittney, Michael or Christopher. Now these names are much less common among young children!
A new article from CBS 2 revealed the best baby names here in eastern Iowa in 2021, based on data from UnityPoint Health. They looked at births at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Finley’s Hospital in Dubuque, and Allen’s Hospital in Waterloo to compile their list. Here are the ten best baby names for girls this year:
And now, here are the top ten names for baby boys here in Eastern Iowa:
If you’re curious how these names stack up against the best baby names across the country, there are a number to make both lists. According to an article by Baby center, the top three baby girl names in 2021 were Olivia, Emma, and Amelia, with only Emma not being in the top ten in Eastern Iowa. In boys, the top three in the US were Liam, Noah and Oliver. Noah and Liam weren’t on the list in our half of the state, but Noah was on the list for St. Luke’s at Cedar Rapids!
