Our Lady’s College Greenhills hopes to give sports facilities a facelift

Plans have been tabled to improve the sports facilities at Our Lady’s College in Greenhills.

The Drogheda School Board has applied to Louth County Council for permission to improve and extend the existing surface of the basketball/tennis court and use it as a multi-sports pitch, a new fence of 2.4m with a 3m high ball stop net at the perimeter of the multisport field, six 12m high light poles at the multisport field and all associated field and surface drainage works.

Elsewhere, Eoin Brodigan is applying for permission to build a new single-storey dwelling, the construction of a new technical room at the rear of the proposed dwelling, a new entrance to the existing private driveway, the erection of new fences and hedges, installation of a new proprietary sewage treatment unit with associated polishing filter bed, new domestic well and all associated works, at Lynwell, Killineer, Drogheda.

Permission is sought by Damien Chesser for 3 two storey four bedroom detached houses and ancillary site works including new access to the site from Blackbush Lane, all on a site of approximately 0.159 hectares, at Blackbush Lane , Bryanstown, Drogheda.

Joseph Byrne requested permission for a two-storey dwelling house project to the side of the existing dwelling house, the widening of the existing driveway to allow for 2 additional off-road parking spaces and all associated site development works including planning permission to demolish an existing flat roof extension and construction of a proposed two storey extension to the rear of the existing dwelling house, a new first floor window floor to the front elevation, new exterior insulation with plaster finish to the exterior of the front elevation and all associated site development works, at 106 Pearse Park, Drogheda.

Green light apartments

The way has been cleared by Louth County Council for new flats in Drogheda.

Rokeby Properties Ltd have been granted permission to change the use of an existing vacant ground floor retail space to 7 one bedroom apartments and internal demolition of 2 staircase cores and internal partitions , at South Quay, James Street.

RBD Jupiter Ltd. has granted permission to construct a two-storey building comprising 6 residential units consisting of 4 one-bed apartments and 2 two-bed apartments at the rear of the site, at Benmore, 47 George’s Street, Drogheda.

In addition, the removal of existing trees on the site and its boundaries; repair, plastering and painting of the existing rear perimeter wall; the repair of the existing stone boundary wall on the adjacent property which is a protected structure and all associated site services, drainage, lighting and landscaping are to be carried out in conjunction with the works.

Permission granted to Leah Murray for the demolition of a ruined dwelling and the construction of a new two-storey detached dwelling with a veranda and detached garage together with associated landscaping and site work, including a new sewage treatment system and percolation area, at Thomastown, Reaghstown, Ardee.
