Police responded to a Gillette residence after a 15-year-old boy reported his 36-year-old mother was beaten by his 40-year-old father around 10.56 p.m. last night, Alger said. The boy said he heard his mother calling for help and he found his father on top of her and beat her. The boy would have snatched his father away from her. When officers arrived, the 40-year-old was outside and refused to give a statement. The 36-year-old woman suffered facial injuries and the man was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Eluding, Aug 11, I-90, GPD

A 58-year-old man was arrested for escape and drunk driving after crashing his motorcycle on I-90 while fleeing an attempted traffic stop at 12:42 a.m., Alger said. Officers attempted to arrest the man, riding a black Suzuki motorcycle, after seeing him stop at multiple flashing yellow lights and failing to maintain a single lane of traffic on the S. Douglas Freeway. The man sped away from officers at high speed, eventually crashing into a fence. Deputies arrested an 18-year-old woman for possession of marijuana during a traffic stop on Highway 14-16 around 1:50 a.m. this morning, Matheny said. She was also charged with driving without a valid license.
