I wasn’t a big fan of westerns until I was a little older. Until I started to crave the simple things in life. Sure, movies in the genre tend to romanticize what it was like to live in those days, but if you’ve ever wanted to cook over a fire and the company of your trusty steed, then maybe the Tack. Shed Airbnb in McGregor, Iowa might be right for you. Because this place is straight out of the Old West!

First of all, the Tack Shed is small. It measures 12 ‘by 14’ with a mezzanine bedroom. It was built almost entirely from salvaged materials. To say this thing is “rustic” would be an understatement. But if you are looking for a simple country life, look no further! The Airbnb post clarifies that there is no air conditioning, but all windows have mosquito nets and there is a fan. There is an outdoor shower with running water and a sink. But you will have to use the toilet in another building. There is also a refrigerator and an electric cooktop in your “cowboy kitchen”.

If preparing a meal over an open fire while watching the sunset over a pasture full of horses sounds like your kind of thing, this Airbnb could be a perfect choice! Just be sure to bring your hat and boots! It’s Cowboy Up Time!

Too bad the Mohs Safarikar came out about 50 years too soon, and due to its high cost and lack of a viable market, only three were made. One of them is now for sale on eBay.

Although the Safarikar only had three prototypes made, only two of the three still exist, making it even rarer than rare. The Safarikar may sound ridiculous, but… in fact, yes, it is ridiculous.

ROCHESTER, MI – You could throw some epic mystery dinners at this “Game of Thrones” type house, which just hit the market. It’s as close to living in a medieval castle as it gets.

Located on Victoria Hill Drive in Rochester in the Metro Detroit area and for sale for $ 2.29 million, this 10,790 square foot chateau sits on over 6 acres and is surrounded by a wrought iron fence and two closed towers. You can get a taste of the house in the photo gallery above.

The five-story house is 60 feet high. The frame was built with 60 tons of steel. Inside there are 26 rooms, some of which are hidden. There are even secret passages and a hidden tower with a 50 foot high spiral staircase.

“This is season 9 of ‘Game of Thrones’,” Nicholas Asplund of Lux Partners Global enthusiastically told MLive of the house. “The build quality and cost are unmatched and could not be achieved today for less than $ 15,000,000. The surprises are endless. You really have to see it to believe it.

The owner of the house brought in people from all over the world to help him build over a six-year period in the 1990s.

“It’s just a straight medieval castle,” Asplund said. “The owner had a lot of money and when he was building this house he told the designers what he wanted and they brought in people from all over, sourcing all over the world. They spared no expense. It’s super solid and massive. I mean, it’s built of stone and steel.

The house is at the rear of a gated community. There is another gate that leads to a winding road with the house on top of a hill. The whole of six hectares is surrounded by a wrought iron fence.

To enter the house you have to cross the drawbridge over the moat and waterfall before crossing the portcullis at the main entrance.

Inside there are five fireplaces, six stoves, a wine cellar and a Tudor-style pub. There is also a secret underground cave with jacuzzi, a hidden dungeon, a fitness center, a billiard room, a library with a loft and a home theater.

On top of all this there is an elevator with 10 foot tall oak cars and mirrors. There are six balconies outside and two more inside. There is also an indoor car park with room for four vehicles.

There are four bedrooms with an additional fifth bedroom. There are five full baths and two half baths. Finally, there is an adjacent 1200 square foot chateau, which is the garage and workshop.

You can contact Nicholas Asplund at Lux Partners Global for more information at 810-222-9019 or by email.

You would be forgiven if at first glance you couldn’t tell which Lincoln model you were looking at in the photo at the top of this page. The brand’s current lineup, made up entirely of crossovers and SUVs, offers the same look in sizes small (Corsair) to XL (Navigator). Don’t take this as a negative point, however. They might all look the same, but it didn’t hurt Audi when this company built four versions of the same sedan, and Lincoln chose a wonderful shape to put in the enlarger.

This is Lincoln’s second attempt to create a luxury midsize crossover. The first, which was only marketed for three years, differed little from the Explorer with which it shared a platform. Over 10 years later, Lincoln is still starting out with the bones of Explorer, but only the engineering team and someone who spends hours browsing the parts list will notice the similarities between the two three-row models. Lincoln made this one different wherever it matters, right down to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra providing bespoke warning tones.

As we said above, it’s a nice SUV. It has a real presence both in a parking lot and on the road, which it needs because the Cadillac XT6 offers some pretty serious arrogance as well. This is where Lincoln really takes the game a step further than its import competitors, because none can pose like that. All Lincoln SUVs wear a similar face, this is the best version of it.

The bluster continues into the cabin starting with the power seat adjustment switches on the doors allowing you to make adjustments before entering. Take your time to get used to these settings, there are nearly three dozen on this Aviator with the Luxe pack.

Driver and front passenger benefit from 30-position Perfect Position seats with electric thigh extensions (separate adjustment for each leg) and massage. They will adapt in a way you never imagined. Heat and ventilation are standard across the board, with non-lux having 12-way seating.

Three interior color packs are offered, this Sandstone combination is the highlight with light and dark leather surfaces as well as open pore wood trim throughout. Contrast stitching brightens the interior even more, while the metal grilles of the 28-speaker Revel audio system are as beautiful as you will find anywhere. While not normally a luxury staple, the interior is packed with plenty of storage space, most with lids, giving you plenty of places to stash almost everything. The clever textures of the Lincoln logo inside these lockers are also a nice touch.

Continuing the fantasy, the middle seats are heated and ventilated, the steering wheel is heated, and the third row electrically folds into the floor, but these are things you can find on a Hyundai these days. It’s Lincoln’s material choices and the consistency of the design that make this feel special.

The Aviator needs to feel special, you see, as it faces some serious gear for a little more and a little less money, depending on how much you value that special feeling and how much value you place on that special feeling. that you grant to a badge. Take a look, inside and out, and it’s definitely special.

Get the Revel sound system right and it’s one of the best in the business. I didn’t hear a single internal noise when I cranked up the bass, a rarity at any cost. The digital dashboard, with a quiet screen that minimizes distractions, is just another touch that makes this Lincoln feel like being pampered.

Under the hood is a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 producing 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft, paired with a 10-speed car with all-wheel drive at all levels. Adaptive suspension raises and lowers the Aviator for access and loading, while the shocks change to absorb what the road has to offer. Lincoln even made buying one simple, with just one trim level for Canada and a major option package adding seats, head-up display, key-phone and premium stereo. It also has adaptive cruise, panoramic cameras and a parking assistant function.

Execution is where the Aviator fell behind. Despite the many seat adjustments, neither I nor my regular passenger (with the two of us at opposite ends of the size spectrum) could find a comfortable setting. The sitting position is also quite high, which makes it more difficult for the older ones to find space and for the little ones to access it.

The V6 delivers excellent power and hands down many of its competitors, but again, it’s the execution. Lincoln’s philosophy is quiet flight and effortless smoothness, but the drivetrain falls short. Although I am tempted to make aircraft comparisons, it is not that hard. It does, however, send noise and vibrations into the cabin at idle and on the highway. The power delivered was harsh as well, especially from a standstill, causing the Aviator to swerve and jerk in a decidedly non-luxurious and non-pampering way.

The air suspension, while filtering out big bumps, also never set in. The vehicle felt like it was still moving on its four shocks, looking for a neutral position that it couldn’t find. The 10-speed automatic didn’t help, offering very jarring gear changes and making many confusing choices in normal driving.

The fuel economy of the V6 is estimated at 13.7 in the city and 9.6 on the highway. My own driving came down to 12.0, with judicious use of the on-board brain’s start-stop system helping to keep the engine from wasting as much fuel as possible. If that’s not enough, the Grand Touring model is a PHEV that gives you more power and uses less fuel. It is also more fluid.

The Grand Touring Aviator could make your range choice even easier. Want that look and that interior, but want calm, smoothness and efficiency? Get the PHEV. Otherwise, make sure you can get comfortable in the Aviator’s chic seats before considering bringing one home.

The vehicle was provided to the writer by the automaker. Content and vehicle ratings were not subject to approval.

Projection of the list of the 53 Broncos players before the preseason 3 game https://prohrom-enterijer.biz/2021/08/28/projection-of-the-list-of-the-53-broncos-players-before-the-preseason-3-game/ https://prohrom-enterijer.biz/2021/08/28/projection-of-the-list-of-the-53-broncos-players-before-the-preseason-3-game/#respond Sat, 28 Aug 2021 04:57:46 +0000 https://prohrom-enterijer.biz/2021/08/28/projection-of-the-list-of-the-53-broncos-players-before-the-preseason-3-game/ The Denver Broncos’ final preseason game at home on Saturday against the Los Angeles Rams represents the last chance for a few players to make their way to the 53-man roster. The Denver Broncos’ final preseason game at home on Saturday against the Los Angeles Rams represents the last chance for a few players to make their way to the 53-man roster.

Although most of the places on the list are probably settled, a few remain in the game. There will be the possibility for those who do not make the final list, and who go through the waivers, to be added to the list. 16-player Broncos practice squad.

Keep in mind that there could be at least a few currently injured players who will make the initial roster, due to how the NFL rules work in relation to the injured reserve.

On the one hand, teams have the unlimited ability to place players on IR with a designation to return. On the other hand, this is not an option until 2:00 p.m. MST on September 1. In other words, a player placed on IR when the final cups are made is out for the season.

Keep this rule in mind as I reveal my projection for the Broncos’ final roster of 53, which is due by 2 p.m. MST on August 1.

Quarterbacks: 3

Listing: Teddy Bridgewater, Drew Lock, Brett Rypien

I’m leaning towards keeping Rypien on the 53-man roster because there really isn’t a star in any other position that needs to be kept. However, I could see the Broncos trying to slip Rypien into the practice squad if they really wanted to keep another player.

Supportive backs: 4

Listing: Melvin Gordon III, Javonte Williams, Royce Freeman, Mike Boone

Boone’s injury opened the door for Freeman, who has shown he can do it as a passing protector and wide receiver. Boone will be out for at least three weeks of the regular season, but IR rules mean he will need to be kept on the 53-man roster for a 24-hour period.

Wide receivers: 6

Listing: Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, KJ Hamler, Tim Patrick, Trinity Benson, Tyrie Cleveland

Benson continues to strengthen his record to be part of the team, but sixth place is a close race. For now, I have Cleveland taking the place because it brings more value to special teams.

Diontae Spencer, although a better returner, didn’t do as much on offense. Sixth-round rookie Seth Williams, who improved from Game 1 to Game 2, has a shot, but he needs a solid performance against the Rams to succeed.

Tight ends: 3

Listing: Noah Fant, Albert Okwuegbunam, Eric Saubert

The tight third point is still up for grabs, and although Austin Fort has shown promise, Saubert is making the stronger case. A good performance against the Rams would likely seal the deal for Saubert.

Offensive line: 9

Listing: Garett Bolles, Dalton Risner, Lloyd Cushenberry III, Graham Glasgow, Bobby Massie, Calvin Anderson, Netane Muti, Quinn Meinerz, Quinn Bailey

All signs point to Massie getting the right tackle job with Anderson serving as the swing tackle. Muti and Meinerz have the most advantages for the inside depth of the O-line. As for ninth place, Bailey outscored veteran Cameron Fleming.

It’s true that the Broncos would take a million dollar load of dead money by releasing Fleming, but the team must view that as sunk costs. Also, if he signed elsewhere, he has to at least get the minimum veteran, so there will likely be some compensation.

It’s possible the Broncos will retain a 10th offensive lineman – that could mean Fleming stays, or that could be filled by veteran Austin Schlottmann, who hasn’t played very well this summer but has at least some experience in departure. A 10th offensive lineman would probably take the place I reserved for Rypien.

Defensive line: 6

Listing: Shelby Harris, Dre’Mont Jones, Mike Purcell, McTelvin Agim, DeShawn Williams, Shamar Stephen

Stephen has the advantage at this point for sixth place. Seventh-round rookie Marquiss Spencer and Jonathan Harris are making an effort but will need to have good outings against the Rams to be considered.

Outside linebackers: 4

Listing: Von Miller, Bradley Chubb, Malik Reed, Jonathan Cooper

It’s the easiest of all the decisions the Broncos have to make. Fourth place was the only one to win and Cooper ran away.

Internal linebackers: 4

Listing: Alexander Johnson, Josey Jewell, Justin Strnad, Baron Browning

I had originally planned that Josh Watson would do it because he can play special teams, but the Broncos released him earlier this week. No other off-the-ball linebacker has stood out to justify retaining a fifth player in this position.

Corner wedges: 6

Listing: Kyle Fuller, Ronald Darby, Bryce Callahan, Patrick Surtain II, Kary Vincent, Jr., Michael Ojemudia

Ojemudia will likely not be placed on IR when the last reductions are made, so it stays for now. Vincent was the best healthy cornerback and it may be more difficult to pass him on waivers, so he made my final cut.

However, things could change depending on how things go against the Rams.

Safeties: 5

Listing: Justin Simmons, Kareem Jackson, Caden Sterns, Jamar Johnson, PJ Locke

Not keeping five linebackers off the ball allowed me to keep another safety on the roster. It’s possible the Broncos will choose to keep Trey Marshall, then put him on IR with a designation to return, and then hope Locke goes through the waivers.

However, Locke did some good things in the preseason. If he plays well against the Rams, that could secure him a spot on the roster.

Specialists: 3

Listing: Brandon McManus (K), Sam Martin (P), Jacob Bobenmeyer (LS)

These positions have not been in doubt since the start of training camp.

List of PUPs: Essang Bassey (CB), Duke Dawson (CB)

Any player who is on the roster physically unable to play can be placed on the PUP roster to start the regular season, but must be inactive for six weeks. After that, there is a five week window for the player to train for.

Bassey and Dawson need more time to recover from their off-season surgeries, so they’re almost certain to go on the PUP roster. The Broncos can monitor their progress and determine if they can be brought back later.

Travel after the last day of the cut

These are the moves I plan to perform after 2 p.m. MDT on September 1.

To IR with designation to be returned: Mike Boone, Michael Ojemudia.

I explained above that a player who might return during the season cannot be placed in IR with a designation to return when the final cups are made. Thus, these trips are made after 24 hours.

Reduced to the active list: Andrew Beck, Parnell Motley

Beck would take Boone’s place until Boone was cleared to play, while Motley would do the same for Ojemudia. Beck can play against special teams, which is why he’s taking Boone’s place for now. Motley has been solid in preseason games and could help until Ojemudia is healthy.

Last five guys cut (meaning, almost done)

  • Diontae Spencer | WR / KR / PR
  • Seth Williams | WR
  • Austin Fort | YOU
  • Jonathan Harris | DL
  • Austin Schlottmann | OL

Analysis: As the last five guys to meet Vic Fangio to get their pink slip, it’s likely the team will be hoping to re-sign them to the practice squad to serve as an emergency depth in season.

Training team

  • Damarea Crockett | RB
  • Seth Williams | WR
  • Diontae Spencer | WR / KR / PR
  • Kendall Hinton | WR
  • Austin Fort | YOU
  • Austin Schlottmann | OL
  • Drew Himmelman | OT
  • Jonathan Harris | DL
  • Marquis Spencer | DL
  • Derrek Tuszka | OLB
  • André Mintze | OLB
  • Curtis Robinson | HE B
  • Mac McCain III | CB
  • Trey Marshall | S
  • An offensive and defensive spot to be determined

Analysis: Crockett, Williams, Spencer, Hinton, Beck, Schlottmann, Harris, Spencer, Tuszka, Mintze and Marshall were easy additions to the practice squad. As for the others, I went with Himmelman, Robinson and McCain mainly because they are rookies who signed as undrafted free agents in May and are still on the roster, although they did not stand out.

I left two spots open, one for offense and one for defense, which could be filled by players who are not on the 53-player rosters of other teams but could get their chance with the Broncos.

The Broncos could always add Beck and Motley to the practice squad later, once the others are cleared to play and activated from the IR.

Keep in mind that you’ll likely see a lot of movement in the practice squad, whether it’s players called up because others are injured or the Broncos think someone deserves a chance to play. .

It may rain outside, but everything is fine inside. The interior of the CX-30 is a master class in understated styling, with a chic, luxurious design and materials that wouldn’t be out of place in a premium pukka rival.

You get big, clear physical buttons for all the main controls and a separate, proper climate control panel – in this all-touch age, that matters a lot. Plus, all the clicking and clicking of the switchgear with the kind of well-oiled precision that suggests a good chunk of that R&D budget was spent on its engineering.

Another modern trend of the CX-30 is that of touchscreen entertainment systems; the CX-30s operate using a rotary control in the center, which may seem less hissy, but means you can select functions more easily on the go – and a happy byproduct is that the screen doesn’t is not constantly covered with greasy fingerprints.

In front of you is a mix of analog and virtual dials, their clear fonts and white-on-black coloring make them easy to read, and the layout is much less loaded than the over-designed displays you find in some rivals.

It’s not as spacious here as the best of these rivals, however; up front, it would be wrong to say the CX-30 feels cramped, but you feel crouched down and locked in by the car rather than perched high with a good view.

This will suit some people more than others, of course, but given that many buyers choose crossovers for their visibility, it could hurt the CX-30’s appeal.

Decline in sales of SC homes

Home sales fell in South Carolina in July compared to the same month a year ago, but that’s because transactions last July were so strong after the economy reopened after the lockdown in the spring of 2020 . Warren L. Wise / Staff

Sales of SC homes fell nearly 10% in July for the first time this year. Here’s why.

Receive the best real estate news from the post and courier, handpicked and delivered to your inbox every Saturday.

Residential real estate transactions declined in all of the state’s major metropolitan areas in July compared to the same month last year, but that’s not because of waning interest in buying a home. In July 2020, sales skyrocketed following the reopening of the economy after spring containment when the coronavirus hit.

“Teen Mom 2” star Kailyn Lowry opened up with a question and answer about building her house.

“Teen Mom 2” star Kailyn Lowry opened up with a question and answer on Instagram about building her house and shared some of her regrets about the process. Lowry admitted that she hated the experience, but said she would like to build another house after having had the learning experience.

The Deleware resident made the warning after a fan asked Lowry about his favorite part of building his own home.

“Well, I don’t have a favorite part. I don’t have one because I hate this process, ”she said. “I thought I would love to build a house. I thought it was going to be so much fun… I thought I was never going to want to stop but I realized I didn’t know this house was going to end up being the house I want to stay in.

“This process and all of it is so different from what I expected,” she continued. “For the foreseeable future, I see myself selling this one and building another house because now I know what to expect and what steps I want, and things like that. So I don’t have a favorite part.

In the second part of his Q&A, Lowry backtracked a bit. She said she could stay in the house she built. If she wants to change anything in the future, she can just renovate it.

Lowry realized that she had made a mistake in deciding the measurements of the rooms on the lower level of her house. In the middle of the process, she asked the builders to stop because she wanted the living room to be bigger.

“I stopped construction to redo the whole ground floor caused a delay of about six weeks,” she said. “In reality, we are looking at January 2022” for the house to be completed.

Lowry regrets another choice she made

Lowry, who has four wires, chose black appliances with copper embellishments. She also chose to go with windows framed in white, but now she wishes she had chosen black.

While she had previously said that she didn’t like the farmhouse as an interior design, she learned that her style is mid-century modern. “I have someone who helps me with my interior design so that everything can be executed correctly,” said the author of “Pride Over Pity”.

When it comes to her walls, she wants to keep things neutral. “I want all the edginess and stuff to be in my tiles, my decor and things like that,” Lowry explained. “I want my walls to remain neutral.

Some fans wanted to know if she was going to have a basement in the new house, but Lowry chose not to have one. She had basements in previous homes she lived in and didn’t use them.

“I never go there and it’s literally just another space to have a mess that I don’t check,” she said. “I don’t know if anyone else is like that Out of Sight, Out of Mind – completely loyal to every part of my life and that includes the basements.”

But his sons will always have a place to gather. Lowry chose to have a pool room instead of a basement. “The pool room will have a pool table and a movie theater for the kids to go to, but it can also be cleaned up and become an adult playroom,” the “Teen Mom 2” star revealed.

Lowry wants his house to be “timeless”

Lowry wanted the house she was building to look timeless. While she is going to have a swimming pool for her family to enjoy, she didn’t want it to be too deep.

“So I think with this house, I think I really want to remember to be timeless,” she said in her Instagram Q&A. “I don’t want to have a very deep pool because I think the older the kids get, nobody really cares about having depth in their pool like that anymore. Based on the two pools I’ve had before they go 6ft deep and I’m comfortable with that.

While his boys – namely Lincoln, 7 – would love to have a slide, Lowry chose not to have these additions in his backyard.

“I don’t slide or dive. I think it’s extra maintenance and more things can break, ”she explained, noting that Lincoln has a toboggan in his father’s house. “I just don’t want to spend the money on a slide and then in five years he doesn’t use it. While I will pass.

Lowry shares his eldest son Isaac, 11, with ex-boyfriend Jo Rivera and Lincoln is from his marriage to Javi Marroquin. Her two youngest sons – Lux, 4 and Creed, 1 – came from her relationship with ex-boyfriend Chris Lopez.

  • The Bug Jar celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.

The Bug Jar is a thin fragment of Rochester real estate. Four small bedrooms, if you count the two bathrooms, on the corner of Monroe Avenue and South Union Street.

Still, it’s a big deal on the Rochester music scene. I wrote it before, I’m going to rewrite it: Red Creek and The Penny Arcade are at the Rochester Music Hall of Fame. The Bug Jar, which reopens on Friday, is also expected to be there.

“We’re chomping on the brakes,” co-owner Bobby Teresa said of Bug Jar’s return, before adding a note of caution. “But now, with all this COVID stuff sort of coming back, popping its ugly head, it’s making us a little nervous.”

The Bug Jar stage has been silent since March 2020. After three decades, a long life for an independent music hall, it took the coronavirus pandemic to close the place.

The club is home to the city’s underground rock scene. Local groups are just getting started. Local bands that have been playing there for years. Internationally touring Rochester’s Joywave frequently played the Bug Jar as he recovered. Half of Atlanta’s Grammy-winning metal rockers, Mastodon, performed in the band of Rochester Lethargy, another Bug Jar regular.

And the Bug Jar has been a destination for independent bands that crisscross the country in vans, looking for a place to stop for the night and play. It’s a well-known local tradition that the club hosted major performers before most countries knew who they were: The White Stripes, The Black Keys, Vampire Weekend, Modest Mouse, Arcade Fire and Lizzo.

Booking shows is a science. Doug Kelley, whose day job is a laser amplifier technician at the University of Rochester Laser Lab, takes care of the essentials for the Bug Jar. Friday night’s reopening party sells for 150 tickets – like we said it’s a small place – although some tickets are available at the door, if you get there early enough. And the range looks like the old days. Four loud Rochester garage rockers: Checks and Exes, Saint Free, Overhand Sam and Bad Weapon, and House Majority.

It will be local groups that will wear the Bug Jar for the next five weeks. The first national group to play at the club will be a very cool West Coast psych-pop outfit The Levitation Room on September 14th.

After that, like the rest of us, many nationwide touring groups try to read the COVID tea leaves.

“The Spits contacted us; The Queers, they were trying to put something in place for fall 2021, ”Teresa says. “And then there was back and forth and a lot of them decided, ‘Let’s wait until 2022.'”

The Bug Jar survived the pandemic thanks to a t-shirt scheme and online crowdfunding effort that easily surpassed its goal of $ 20,000. This covered the Bug Jar rent for 2020. It is the loyalty of a broadly specialized audience that values the club’s contribution to the Rochester arts scene.

U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer and Bug Jar co-owner Aaron Gibalski hit each other's elbows during a March 31 press conference at the Bug Jar. - PHOTO BY MAX SCHULTE / WXXI NEWS

  • U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer and Bug Jar co-owner Aaron Gibalski hit each other’s elbows during a March 31 press conference at the Bug Jar.

But what about state and federal government money aimed at keeping entertainment venues alive as well? US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer showed up in March for a press conference touting the US Small Business Administration’s $ 16 billion Save Our Stages grant. There is also the Shuttered Venues Operators scholarship. And the Restaurant Revitalization Fund, which seemed to suit the Bug Jar better, since most of its income comes from the sale of alcohol.

“Pretty hip place,” Schumer said, as he stood under the Bug Jar’s most remarkable interior decor: kitchen appliances and living room furniture, bolted upside down to the ceiling.

But the hip doesn’t pay the bills. Despite Schumer’s photoshoot, Teresa says the Bug Jar has yet to see any state or federal money.

“I heard there was going to be a second wave,” he said. “And I hope we get included in the second wave.”

Restaurants and clubs have responded to the pandemic with varying degrees of caution. Abilene Bar & Lounge, like the Bug Jar, has been closed during much of the pandemic. It reopened with a strict policy of only admitting people who can provide proof of vaccination. Two other clubs, Radio Social and Lux Lounge, added vaccination policies only this week.

Other places have remained open for vast swathes of the pandemic, without caring too much about vaccines and social distancing, and criticizing that choice is a bit too easy; some restaurant and club owners have invested their savings in their businesses.

Masks are also part of the debate.

“It seems like it’s becoming a matter of personal choice,” Teresa says.

At Bug Jar, “Don’t hesitate to hide yourself,” he said. “It’s your prerogative, isn’t it?” “

It’s more than that now. In this rapidly developing landscape, Monroe County Director Adam Bello highlighted the increase in the number of new COVID-19 cases and released a statement earlier this week that said, “In order to slow the spread, we strongly recommend all residents of Monroe County to wear a face mask indoors, where we know the virus is spreading even further. “

The pandemic has been a negotiating routine of uncertainty. It wasn’t that long ago that we washed our hands every hour and sprayed disinfectant on every flat surface within reach.

“Let’s follow Monroe County’s guidelines, whatever they are from Friday,” Teresa said. “Who knows, we might find something out on Friday, right?” “
